Integrated Management Systems

You may have heard the term Integrated management system and wondered what it is all about...

Many organisations have achieved either the International quality standard ISO9001:2000 or the environmental standard ISO14001:2004 but quite often they have not considered the opportunity to combine these standards into one overall approach - an integrated management system.

Aspects such as

are common aspects of both systems and economies of scale can be achieved by introducing both at the same time. Also this ensures that there is compatibility between the two and a reduction in the management effort to administer them.

If you are considering implementing one or other of these international standards or your existing system is due for review please give us a call as we can advise you on a practical and efficient method of achieving an overall integrated management system that is right for your organisation.

The Construction industry

With the significant number of new houses required by government proposals and the Olympics just around the corner it is a good time for any organisation in the South East of England within the construction industry to consider how their business performance can be improved to help their bottom line results.

Although the work may be there how can any organisation be sure of firstly, winning the work and then ensuring delivery to client specifications.

Many construction based companies are turning to quality management systems to help them delvier in the longer term. A company certificated to the ISO type standards can demonstrate that it has the systems in place to give that extra confidence to clients when reviewing tenders. Additionally those using structured business improvement programmes will see a long term gain in performance in all areas if consistent assessments and improvement projects are realised.

ley hill solutions has worked with many companies on structured improvement programmes and increasingly within the construction industry, if you would like to know more please contact us.
