2008 has been a busy year for ley hill solutions. Not only have we completed one of our largest and most demanding contracts but we have involved more associates than ever before. Working on activities ranging from assisting the implementation of ISO9001 and ISO14001 in new companies applying the standards for the first time to helping companies who already have the standard maintain and improve their management systems, has provided us with significant new knowledge in how these systems work best in many sectors.
Ongoing support for EFQM Excellence Model activity has ranged from supporting businesses who have just decided to embark on a systematic improvement programme, often through the levels of excellence programme, to those who have used the EFQM Excellence Model for along time but need an external view of their own self-assessments. We have supported all levels of assessment from Committed to Excellence through Recognised for Excellence right up to having several of our consultants acting as lead assessors for the UK Excellence award. If you are interested in applying for the UK Excellence award or any of the recognition awards in the levels of excellence scheme have a look at the BQF website.
Our largest project was to provide a team of three consultants over an 8 month period to train many employees of the Bulgaria Revenue Agency in a multitude of Quality Systems and Tools including Balanced Scorecards, EFQM Excellence Model and benchmarking. Following the extensive training programme we assisted the agency to develop and plan the introduction of an integrated management system using many of the tools and techniques they now had experience of using in pilot situations.
The delivery of much of the training was done through interpreters but learning some Bulgarian certainly helped!
Mainly based in Sofia for this work all of our consultants found the city to be a great place to work and the dedication of the people we worked with second to none. It is this type of commitment and willingness to learn that actually makes the consultant’s job worthwhile.
As mentioned earlier this year we have worked with more associates than ever before and our growing list of exceptionally skilled and talented people with many years experience provides us with an unrivalled capacity to find the right person for each project we undertake.
Of course now that the World economy is starting to shake we cannot promise to find suitable work for everyone who wants it but we believe that by having the right people providing not only the skills but the right attitude to customer excellence will help put us in a good position for the coming year.
We hope to hold an associates day in 2009 where we will invite our current and many potential associates to join us and decide if they can provide the skills and levels of service our clients expect. Keep an eye open for more information on this if you are interested in working with ley hill solutions.
Just a brief mention but many organisations currently certified to the 2000 version of 9001 have until the end of 2009 to update their management system to the ISO9001:2008 version. The changes are mainly clarifications of the clauses and ensure alignment with other management systems such as ISO14001 but if you have any questions on the changes please contact us or Ask our Expert on the appropriate web page.
