Thesaurus is the partner of choice for IT solutions for organisations such as NSK Europe and the Co-operative Bank. Thesaurus has leading technical expertise and the practical management skills insurance needed for entire business IT systems. With an aim to always exceed clients’ expectations Thesaurus recognises the importance of demonstrating its quality credentials. Although operating an internal non UKAS certified ISO9001 management system for several years it had not seen any real benefit from its implementation.

ley hill solutions was approached to undertake a full review of the current system and determine the best way forward. This led to the development of an intranet based quality manual and management system, which was implemented across the organisation. Assistance was provided to support the development of internal auditors and arrange the certification audits by a UKAS recognised provider – LRQA. Thesaurus successfully achieved ISO9001:2000 in March 2008.

Scalable Communications

Scalable Communications recognised the importance of quality in everything it does with its clients and decided to embark on a programme to implement the Quality Management System (ISO9001). During the initial discussions with ley hill solutions it was evident that the company would benefit from implementing the Environmental Management System (ISO14001) as well.

By implementing the two together there would be considerable savings in both the implementation timescales and effort and the ongoing management of the systems.

Ley hill solutions has been working with Scalable Communciations to develop the initial Quality and environmanetal procedures required by the systems, train and assist the auditors in the business and conduct and environmental Aspect & Impact analsis.

The company should achieve certification for both standards over the coming months.

Human Resources consultancy

Expert assistance to develop and implement a process based management system meeting ISO9001:2000 requirements. Development of a fully interactive Intranet based quality management system.

Scope: 30 employees on single site operation in UK.

Chipcard manufacturer

The company required assistance to undertake a self-assessment using the EFQM Excellence model. Following the initial support for self-assessment workshop assistance was provided to the project teams addressing the top three improvement opportunities to ensure that the benefits were delivered on time as planned.

Scope: 300 employees on single site operation in Europe.

Recruitment services provider

The company required help to convert from the ISO9000:1994 standard to the more recent ISO9001:2000 standard. Assistance provided included development of an overall process interaction description and review of existing systems to identify and address gaps against the new standard. Certification successfully achieved in November 2003.

Scope: 40 employees on multi-site operation in UK.

Manufacturing company

Development and facilitation of initial self-assessment workshop for the manufacturing plant top team against the EFQM Excellence model. Assistance to develop the plan for the EFQM Commitment to Excellence scheme and to provide guidance on future approaches to implementing the EFQM Excellence model.

Scope: 800 employees single site operation in Europe.

Accommodation provider

Development of performance management system with internal audit processes. Identification of information streams and data collection systems to collect and collate regional information into a management reporting and performance system. Development of computer based reporting system and training of regional staff in purpose and use of system. Facilitation of senior management workshops to review strategy and the future application of a Balanced Scorecard approach to business performance reporting.

Scope: 250 employees and multi-site operation in UK.

Training organisation

Project management and process definition for the provision of large scale events (3000 attendees over 5 week period) involving the use of theatre to deliver key business messages. Messages delivered to organisations such as Police, Local authorities, Fire and Ambulance services and private companies included training on Diversity, Social Inclusion and Race Relations.

Scope: 15 employees but project management to many locations in UK.
